A few weeks ago I traveled down to Raleigh, NC to help photograph a wedding with my friend Julia, and ended up staying with her family while I was there. The following morning, we went out to the backyard and I shot a few test rolls through my cameras. It was more like a mini session, but I'm delighted by how many sweet moments we captured! I'm so happy to have had the chance to document the six of them--Julia and her husband, their two kids and even both sweet pups. We looked for potato bugs (i.e. rollie pollies), played on the jungle gym, they snuggled and laughed...it was such a sweet, laid back backyard family photography session. It really is an absolute privilege to document families, and even more so to do it for friends.
