Country Club of Virginia Bridal Session

....you guys! This beautiful bride was married just a few weeks ago and I am so pleased to share a few favorites from her Country Club of Virginia bridal session shot earlier this spring. You would never know, but it was FREEZING out when we shot these! But Martha was calm and patient, and I just love the way her portraits turned out. Film is so beautiful, and is the perfect medium on which to photograph a bride (in my opinion!). Not to mention CCV, with that gorgeous outdoor patio area, covered and perfect for photos. And of course, Martha looked stunning...! I am already working on her wedding photos and absolutely can't wait to share them on the blog. Keep your eyes peeled, folks...!

James River Engagement Session Shot on Film, Co-starring a Dog Named Margot Who is Ridiculously Cute

....you guys!!! I could not be more excited to share this sweet engagement session with you. I actually met Leigh years ago in college, and since then I have seen her and Chris at several weddings I have photographed. It is my absolute delight to now have the opportunity to photograph their own wedding next year. I am super excited for it!

I loved reconnecting with these two, meeting their pup Margot (WHAT A CUTIE!!!), walking around their neighborhood, and playing at the James. Such a sweet, relaxed engagement session with a sweet, relaxed couple.

Are you getting married here in Richmond? Or are you interesting in a photo session at the James, playing on the rocks or swimming in the river? Drop me a line, I would love to chat more with you...!

Carolina Yacht Club Wedding in Wilmington, NC

I absolutely loved ending my 2017 season by traveling down to Wilmington, NC to photograph this sweet couples First Presbyterian Church and Carolina Yacht Club wedding! These two had the sweetest day--the bride got ready at her parents' home surrounded by all her wonderful bridesmaids; they said "I do" at the local church downtown; and decked out the Carolina Yacht Club with string lights for their beachfront reception!

I loved the bride's Anna Kara wedding gown, especially because it paired perfectly with her antique veil, which was handmade by a family friend. The ladies looked flawless once Beauty Crew Mobile finished up with hair and makeup, didn't they!? Eco Chic Blossoms did an incredible job on floral design, and Ashley from LFF Designs did a great job coordinating the day. One Belle Bakery created a delicious wedding cake and Milners Cafe and Catering provided some seriously delicious food (my favorites were the tacos!). Lastly, the groovy music of Envision Band from East Coast Entertainment kept everyone dancing well into the night!

I hope you enjoyed peeking at a few of my favorites from this sweet Wilmington wedding! Thanks for popping by...!
