Morris House Hotel Wedding with Brass Tacks Events in Philadelphia, PA

What an absolute delight to travel up to Philadelphia, PA to document this sweet, joyful, beautiful Morris House Hotel wedding! I have been looking forward to this couple's wedding ever since I documented their University of Richmond engagement session earlier this year. I knew G+M's wedding day would be family oriented, elegant, laid back, and very special.

We started the day with bridal preparations at the Morris House Hotel, a boutique hotel right across from Washington Square Park. The girls had such a great vibe going--music, champagne, and lots of laughter. Beke Beau did an amazing job on makeup, and she was such a delight to work with! Amanda D'Andrea also created some gorgeous and natural updo's for the ladies. Meanwhile, my second shooter Tim was over at the The Ritz-Carleton Hotel documenting the guys getting ready.

These two chose to have a more traditional timeline, for the groom to see the bride for the first time as she walked down the aisle. Their St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church ceremony was so sacred and meaningful, and I loved seeing the joy on their faces and they walked back down the aisle, this time as husband and wife!

After the ceremony and some quick family formals at the church, we all hopped on a trolley and got a neat mini tour of the city! We took some wedding day portraits at the Philadelphia Museum of Art and afterward we were sure to grab that classic Philadelphia wedding image of the bride and groom in front of the capital building!

We ended the day back at the Morris House Hotel for some quick family formals at Washington Square Park. You guys, how beautiful was this outdoor tent reception on the patio!? It felt like a secret garden, tucked away from the craziness of the city, all the fairy lights and the beautiful greenery. La Petite Fleur honestly did such a perfect job on all the florals, and Beth over at Brass Tacks Events kept the day running smoothly, that's for sure. After a wonderful first dance, some special and sweet toasts, M+G and all their friends and family danced the night away to the groovy tunes of DJ Sellers from Silver Sound Entertainment.

Such a beautiful, special wedding! I hope you enjoyed seeing a few of my favorites from the day and thanks for stopping by!

Seven Springs Engagement Session in Manquin, VA

I so enjoyed meeting up with these two in Manquin, Virginia for their Seven Springs engagement session! I love, love, love all the laughter, joy, and ease between them. Do you guys know, I actually met the bride in high school (!!!!!!!!). Can you believe that!? We played on the golf team together, and it is such a hoot to reconnect with her and to get to know her fiancé, too.

I am so looking forward to celebrating their wedding next year at The Barns at Hamilton Station Vineyards, but meanwhile I hope you enjoyed this peek at their sweet engagement session!

Church Hill Engagement Session at Chimborazo Park in Richmond, VA

I had the absolute BEST time meeting up with these three for their Church Hill engagement session earlier this month! Church Hill has such charm and beautiful architecture, and this sweet couple lives just walking distance from Chimborazo Park, which is just the perfect spot for portraits. We started our session together by including their dog Biscuit in some shots. Biscuit is so darling, no!? I could barely stand how handsome he is and honestly I just exclaimed over and over about how I wanted to boop his nose...what can I say, I love doodles! I also love when couples include their pet in engagement and portrait sessions, it really adds a personal element to the photos and pets always, always help to break the ice.

After we dropped Biscuit back off at the house, the three of us walked over to Libby Hill park and shot a few more rolls of film. These two are naturals in front of the camera, and I so enjoyed documenting their laughter and joy. I feel so lucky to have had the opportunity to celebrate their engagement here in Richmond, the city they love!

Bethesda Country Club Wedding with Elizabeth Bailey Weddings in Bethesda, Maryland

I loved meeting these two earlier this year for their Bethesda engagement session, and of course I had the absolute best time photographing their Bethesda Country Club wedding a few weeks ago! We got so lucky with the weather--the previous day was rainy and dreary but the day of the wedding dawned clear, sunny, and breezy. The bride got ready at her parents' home, which was so special and meaningful. I love that she wore her mom's veil as well as jewelry from the family, and she looked perfect in her beautiful Pronovias wedding gown. Gregory Dean did a great job on hair and makeup, everyone looked flawless!

The groom got ready at Bethesda Marriott and the light was so nice from the big window! We met up at the Country Club for wedding day portraits, the signing of the ketubah, and their ballroom ceremony and indoor ballroom reception. B Floral Event Design did an amazing job on the flowers for the day, weren't they perfectly classic? Lee over at Elizabeth Bailey Weddings really kept everything running smoothly and I so enjoyed working alongside her. She was an absolute delight! Kupcakes & Co. created the most delicious dessert, and Jacob from District Remix kept everyone dancing throughout the evening. Thanks to Meredith for assisting me that day, too. I hope you enjoyed seeing images from this sweet, joyful, beautiful wedding! Thanks for stopping by!
